Make a one page summary of your health history--allergies, medicines you take, any illness you have--as well as your primary care doctor's info and pharmacy and put that in the glove compartment of your vehicle. If unconscious, there is a decent chance the fire or police department folks will find this useful info.

In addition to your first aid kit, keep at least a gallon of water, a blanket, and a day's worth of your medicine if you take any in the car along with something like a granola bar in case you get stuck for awhile.
